Poetry Meets Soul is back from its long break with none other than exceptional Singer-Songwriter K.ZIA as Headliner!
The Line Up is a remarkable conglomerate of soulful wordsmiths, musicians and visuals.
Welcome to yet another legendary night!
Official Line Up TBA:
K.ZIA is a Brussels-born and Berlin-based upcoming singer, songwriter and composer fusing future R&B, Soul and Global music.
Born of a Martinican father and a Belgo-Congolese mother (internationally acclaimed World Music artist Zap Mama
), K.ZIA was raised amongst many cultures and has travelled the world of Music and Circus, doing studio sessions and backing vocals until she moved to Berlin to start her solo career.
Since moving to Berlin in 2017, she has already performed in a variety of venues in Germany, Morocco, Ghana and Belgium.
Her 5-track debut EP «RED» was released earlier this year covering a variety of musical styles and matters of the young artists life: Love, soul searching and discovering her place in the world as a young, black woman.
She describes herself as an afro-european mineral by virtue of her cultural and ethnical background, and this is what her music is about. Fusing cultures, genres, bringing people from different environments together to celebrate music, love and remembering the important matters of life.
Qudus & Habib Singer/Songwriter
Qudus and Habib are extraordinary gifted brothers, who share more than just genetics. Their collective DNA intertwines a deeply rooted musical connection with real life experiences.
They will take you on a journey to view life through their eyes as they confront you with their socio-political perspective and their undefineable sound that touches more than just one genre.
Their poetic lyrics and staggering presence on stage carry an emotional range that will take you from touched to euphoric, reflective to calmed down to carried away and serene.
Both have been creatively active as a duo since 2012.
Candice Nembhard is a freelance writer, poet and artist based in Berlin.
She is also the co-founder of poet and prophetess
, a collective which platforms young artists of colour based in Germany. Her practice engages with the black Caribbean diaspora with a focus on mixed identities, gender and race relations.
