Amy Winehouse war eine der ersten großen Namen, die Kristians Talent in den Londoner Szeneschuppen entdeckte. Sie wurden beste Freunde und er ihr Studio- und Livemusiker. Jetzt stellt Kristian Marr sein Solomaterial vor und wird begleitet von Alexi Christou.

Since 2010 Kristian has formed very well attended Blues Nights around North London proving his power to pull a good crowd. Including in his house band has been Slide Guitarist Bob Weston from Fleetwood Mac and Drummer Jon Moss from Culture Club.
He would also bring in regular members from Spring Heeled Jack and The Lipstick Melodies.
Amy Winehouse was one of the first household names to recognise Marr’s talents and encouraged him to pursue a solo career. Fully aware of industry standards andexpectations she provided a much-desired mentor to the budding musician. Investing in him to record his first album with “Spring Heeled Jack”! This is a project where Kristian appears on vocals as well as his usual role of lead guitarist. The band boasts an enviable Rock n Roll repertoire.
“Towers of London” were graced with his stand-in presence in 2007. Marr played lead guitar in this British Punk band that fused glam metal with more traditional rock styles. They enjoyed a lengthy stint on the live circuit supporting big name bands such as “Guns n’ Roses” and the “New York Dolls” gaining them media attention.
Since 2012 Kristian has been churning out the riffs with Rock and Blues band, originating from Oldham, “Proud Mary”. Noel Gallagher contributed to the band and signed them as the first act to appear on his Sour Mash roster. They are well known on the festival circuit and have played tours along with the likes of Ryan Adams and Neil Young.
Kristian has also dabbled with the French connection, joining his friend Peter Doherty for gigs in Paris and even featuring in the film, “Confession of a child of the Century” alongside the artist.
He was on stage July 2014 supporting the Libertines at Hyde Park Festival (London).
In 2015 Kristian team up with Alexi Christou to get their acoustic act together and Supported The Rolling Stones Mick Taylor in the UK. Proving the ability to pull out a few Blue notes.
Kristian also has a love for film and you will be able to see him with his role in the new Film Set the Thames on Fire, due for release in 2015. Directed by Ben Charles Edwards. Staring Noel Fielding, Sally Phillips and Sadie Frost.
2016 Great played the Lead role as Lenz in the French Feature film Malgre La Nuit which had great success and a number of film festivals. Winning awards at Berlin and Rotterdam
Recently he has been playing Summer shows with the Lipstick Melodies a band formed in 2008 along side Alan Wass and Alexi Christou. Guitar driven blues Rock n Roll…
Kristian is currently working on a new solo album with Alexi Chrostou in Italy.
