> BOB RUTMAN
Bob Rutman is an internationally acclaimed pioneer of multimedia performance art, most famous for his monumental steel instruments. The Steel Cello and the Bow Chime, designed and built by the artist in the seventies, are impressive sound sculptures made of large flexible sheets of metal, described in the words of their creator as «American Industrial folk instruments».
Rutman is a modern Odysseus who has literally traveled history, from Nazi Germany to the New York of the 70s, landing again in Berlin in recent years. A tireless performer aged 87, he has toured the US and Europe extensively, playing both small galleries and underground venues as well as established cultural institution as the MoMA, London’s ICE and the Berlin Atonal Festival. Confirming his eclectic nature, Bob has worked with the most diverse milestones of postwar art, from Laurie Anderson to Wim Wenders, Swans and Einstürzende Neubauten.
With a new vinyl release, the reissue of his groundbreaking Noise In The Library on the Berlin-based Putojefe Records, Rutman is ready to perform one of his legendary sets at Loophole in the heart of Neukölln.

> Legion of Swine
Legion of Swine is interested in noise. The potential to brutalise it, to smash it into pieces and to reconstruct it from a mass of racket. Throw in some hypocrisy via the political and ruling classes, and stir for several minutes.
